5 Steps to Your Most Productive Day!

 Are you a morning person or a night person?  

If you are a morning person, waking up early to greet the sun might be your favorite part of the day. If you’re a night owl, we’re going to go out on a limb and assume you don’t love hitting your alarm every day. 

However, morning or night, having a solid morning routine can mean the difference between getting everything checked off your to-do list or accomplishing nothing. And just to say, it doesn’t matter when you wake up or go to sleep if you’re wasting the hours in between. So what does a good routine consist of and how do you create one that works for you? Don’t sweat, we have five tips that will have you moving through your days supercharged.

How to create a morning routine that inspires productivity throughout your day.

1) It starts the night before.

Stop your groaning night owls, you know it’s true. If you want to wake up in the morning and not feel like you’re still teetering into dreamland, you have to get some sleep. Turn off your screens, take a bath, meditate, or maybe even take some melatonin if you need it, but you have to get rest. Find what calms you at the end of the day and make it a priority to get in bed and close those eyes at a reasonable hour.

2) Do not hit snooze.

We know it’s tempting, but when you hit that button, you’re signaling to your mind that you’re already breaking the promises you set for yourself. Reward yourself with a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever your drink of choice is, and settle in for the day. 

3) Get a planner.

There’s no easier way to set your day up for success than planning your day. Sit down with your day ahead of you and prioritize the tasks at hand. We recommend not loading your day with more than three priority tasks. You want to feel productive, not overwhelmed. For extra credit, add checking your planner to your evening routine to review your schedule and ensure it’s working for you.

4) Regain peace with your body and mind.

Whether it’s a morning walk, a ride on your spin bike, meditating, or even reading a motivational book, it’s important to get in touch with yourself. We all get grounded using different methods and techniques, so play around with this and find what grounds and motivates you for the day ahead.
